This notice explains how we process the personal data of people who visit www.valeriopescatore.it and of people who contact us through the site, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003. It is the English version of the Italian privacy policy; if the two differ, the Italian version prevails.

www.valeriopescatore.it is the professional website of Valerio Pescatore, the company’s director. No data protection officer (DPO) has been appointed, as one is not required.

What data we process

• Browsing data: IP address, browser and operating system, pages requested, date and time, referring page. These are logged by the servers that host the site, to run it and protect it from abuse.
• Data you send us: name, email address, phone number and message content when you write to info@valeriopescatore.it or call. The contact form does not send anything by itself: it prepares the message in your email app, and we only receive your data when you press Send.
• Cookie preferences: the choice you make in the banner, stored in your browser.

Why we process it and on what legal basis

• Replying to your requests and preparing quotes: steps taken at your request before a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Managing any professional relationship and meeting tax and accounting obligations: contract and legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(b) and (c) GDPR).
• Running the site and protecting it from attacks and automated access: the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The site does not use any statistics or visitor profiling tools.

Providing your contact details is optional, but without them we cannot reply. We do not make decisions based solely on automated processing.

How we protect it

Data is processed electronically, with appropriate technical and organizational measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access and carefully selected providers.

How long we keep it

• Contact requests: as long as needed to reply, and up to 24 months after our last exchange if no professional relationship follows.
• Professional relationships: for their whole duration and then 10 years, as required by tax law.
• Browsing data: only as long as strictly necessary for the security of the service.
• Cookie preferences: 6 months, after which you are asked again.

Who we share it with

Your data is never published, sold or transferred to third parties. It may be processed on our behalf by these processors (Art. 28 GDPR):

• Cloudflare, Inc. — hosts and protects the site.
• Register.it — provides our email service.
• Tax and legal advisors bound by professional secrecy, and the authorities when the law requires it.

Transfers outside the European Union

Cloudflare may also process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or on Standard Contractual Clauses.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict its processing or to receive it in a portable format. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interest and withdraw your consent, without affecting processing already carried out (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Write to info@valeriopescatore.it: we reply within one month.

If you believe the processing breaches the GDPR, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali) or with the supervisory authority of the EU country where you live or work.
